For the design used in this tutorial inspiration is taken from 'The Gimp'. The Gimp is a open source graphics program which can rival with expensive graphics programs (more info on The Gimp). It takes a bit of getting used to the user interface, but you can do real magic with this program.

The design looks like this (click to enlarge):

It is a fairly simple design, consisting of three blocks with rounded corners. The width of the menu-area is a bit larger than the width the Incomedia templates are normally (180 pixels in stead of 134 pixels).
